Children's Library

Educating youngsters about cats and their care is one of our high priorities. Our Children's Library is an excellent resource for children of all ages to enjoy books about cats.

On the mezzanine level of the Feline Historical Museum, you'll find a room dedicated to children. Set up with children in mind, the room has mats on the floor for sitting and reading (as well as comfortable chairs for the adults). You can find cat-related games such as Monopoly, with that all important cat token. There's also jigsaw puzzles, and wooden puzzles for the younger crowd.

Thanks to a very generous donation from Dr. Danny O. Crew, our library includes an extensive collection of children's books. This dedicated library is all about cat books, or books with a cat in their storyline. With over 1,500 books, this library is quite a reading adventure for children ranging from pre-school through young adult. We even have books in Spanish!

We encourage parents to bring their children, of all ages, to spend some time reading these delightful books.

The Children's Library is available for visits from parents who are home schooling their children, or nursery school groups, and even class outings. If you do plan to bring a group, please give us a "head's up" in advance.
